Certification and Examination Disclaimer
HackerBook may provide training and preparation for certifications offered by independent certification bodies.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, HackerBook does not control third-party examination procedures, certification decisions, examination fees, passing criteria, or certification issuance.
Completion of a HackerBook course does not automatically guarantee certification. Certification is subject to the relevant certification body’s eligibility requirements, examination rules, and assessment results.
Third-party certification names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Any reference to them is for identification and informational purposes and does not imply endorsement beyond an explicitly stated and verifiable partnership.
Placement Assistance and Career Support
HackerBook may provide career guidance, interview preparation, resume assistance, internship opportunities, recruitment support, or placement assistance as part of selected programs or separate services.
Unless a specific written agreement expressly provides otherwise, such support does not constitute a guarantee of employment, a particular salary, a job title, a placement date, or selection by any employer.
Employment outcomes depend on factors including the participant’s skills, performance, qualifications, interview results, market conditions, and employer requirements.
Where a course or program is advertised with a placement guarantee, the specific written eligibility criteria, conditions, exclusions, and remedies disclosed for that program will govern, subject to applicable law.
Ethical Hacking and Cybersecurity Acceptable Use
HackerBook promotes responsible, lawful, and authorised cybersecurity education and practice.
All cybersecurity training, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and security research must be conducted only within environments for which the user has explicit authorisation.
You must not:
- Access, test, scan, exploit, or interfere with any computer system, network, application, account, or device without appropriate authorisation.
- Steal, disclose, modify, or destroy data belonging to others.
- Deploy malware, ransomware, phishing campaigns, or other harmful tools against unauthorised targets.
- Use training materials, tools, or techniques to commit fraud, disrupt services, violate privacy, or engage in unlawful activities.
- Circumvent access controls or misuse laboratory environments, credentials, or security tools.
Practical exercises must be performed in designated laboratories, controlled environments, or other explicitly authorised systems.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your activities comply with applicable laws and the permissions granted to you. HackerBook does not authorise unlawful access or misuse of any system merely by providing cybersecurity training or tools.
IT Services and Client Engagements
The scope, deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, fees, testing permissions, and acceptance criteria for IT consulting, cybersecurity assessments, staffing, and other professional services may be set out in a separate proposal, statement of work, purchase order, or service agreement.
For security assessments, the client must ensure that it owns or has the necessary authority to permit testing of the relevant systems and assets.
Clients must provide accurate information, appropriate access, required approvals, and reasonable cooperation to enable the agreed services to be performed.
HackerBook will perform services within the agreed scope. Any additional work, changes to scope, or extension of timelines may require separate written approval and additional charges.
Confidentiality, data handling, reporting, intellectual property, and other project-specific obligations may be governed by a separate written agreement. In the event of a conflict, the applicable signed agreement will prevail to the extent of that conflict.
Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the content available on the HackerBook website and in its training programs, including text, graphics, logos, course materials, videos, documents, presentations, software, designs, and other resources, is owned by or licensed to HackerBook or the relevant rights holder.
You may access and use these materials for personal learning or for the specific purpose authorised by your purchase or agreement.
You must not, without prior written permission from the applicable rights holder:
- Reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit protected materials.
- Upload or share restricted course content on public websites or unauthorised platforms.
- Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from protected materials except where permitted by law or an applicable licence.
- Use HackerBook’s trademarks, branding, or content in a way that falsely implies affiliation or endorsement.
Intellectual property rights in client deliverables will be determined by the applicable service agreement or written terms.
Website Use and Availability
We aim to keep our website accessible and its information useful and accurate. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the absence of technical issues.
We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue parts of the website or its features for maintenance, security, operational, or business reasons.
You must not attempt to disrupt the website, introduce malicious code, bypass security measures, or use automated methods to collect information in violation of applicable law or our stated permissions.
Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, certification providers, learning tools, payment providers, or other services.
These third parties operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, and requirements. HackerBook does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, or practices, except to the extent liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Your use of third-party services is subject to the relevant provider’s terms.
Privacy and Personal Information
HackerBook may collect and process personal information such as your name, contact details, educational or professional information, enrolment details, enquiry information, and payment-related records, as necessary to provide services and operate its business.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
You should review our Privacy Policy to understand how information is collected, used, stored, shared, and protected.
By submitting information through our website, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it.
Confidentiality
Users, students, clients, and other parties must respect confidential information disclosed in connection with HackerBook’s training programs, projects, business relationships, and services.
Confidential information must not be disclosed, copied, or used for unauthorised purposes unless permitted by the relevant agreement, the information owner, or applicable law.
Any additional confidentiality obligations agreed with a client or service provider will remain subject to the applicable written agreement.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis.
Although we endeavour to provide accurate information and quality services, we do not warrant that every website page, resource, training material, or third-party link will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, or free from errors.
Training and educational content is intended to support learning and professional development. It does not guarantee a particular examination result, employment outcome, business result, or level of cybersecurity protection.
Specific contractual commitments, service warranties, and statutory rights remain unaffected by this section.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HackerBook will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of its website or services where such exclusion is legally permissible.
This provision does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury where applicable, breach of obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Where permitted by law, any additional limitation of liability for a particular paid service may be specified in the applicable written agreement.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes any rights available to consumers under mandatory applicable law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising directly from your unlawful use of our website or services, your infringement of another party’s rights, or your material breach of these Terms and Conditions.
This provision does not require you to indemnify HackerBook for losses caused by HackerBook’s own negligence, misconduct, breach of contract, or other conduct for which responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
Suspension and Termination
HackerBook may suspend or terminate access to its website, training resources, accounts, or services where reasonably necessary due to a material breach of these Terms and Conditions, unlawful conduct, security risks, non-payment, or other legitimate operational reasons.
Where appropriate and legally permissible, we may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach.
Termination will not remove rights or obligations that accrued before termination. Refunds, outstanding payments, access to purchased materials, and other consequences of termination will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement, relevant policy, and applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
HackerBook may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business operations, legal requirements, or website functionality.
Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise permitted by applicable law or agreed in writing.
Your continued use of the website after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by law. Where required, we will obtain separate consent or provide additional notice.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law, the courts having competent jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this section restricts any mandatory statutory rights or jurisdiction available to a consumer under applicable law.
Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally permissible.
Failure or delay by HackerBook in exercising a right under these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with the applicable Privacy Policy, published service policies, and any relevant written agreement, form the terms governing your use of the website and the relevant services.
Where a specific written agreement conflicts with these general terms, the specific agreement will prevail to the extent of the conflict, unless otherwise required by law.
